Compare Home Security Systems

Some of the biggest names in the world of security systems are ADT, Protect America and Brinks home security. We cannot compare security systems can never be complete unless we discuss these.

Protect America: It’s been founded only fifteen years ago and is a toddler in front of the other big names; however it has always been at top spot when you compare home security systems. Protect America offers excellent and technologically advanced services in very affordable costs. The best part is everything can be fixed over the phone or internet and there is no need to involve any hideous salesmen. It has five very meaningfully designed wireless security plans which provide you ample of choice. Lowest one i.e. copper has three entry point detectors with free equipment, with a monthly rate of only $ 29.95. Most sophisticated variety is platinum, with as many as fifteen entry point detectors, one motion and garage door detector as well. The monthly fee is $36.95. This fantastic balance between variety, pricing, knowledgeable support and superb technology makes this system truly five star and has many satisfied customers all over US.

ADT: It is undoubtedly the biggest name in home security systems and has been in business for 100 years. ADT is slightly more expensive than Protect America, but its legacy makes it one of the most trusted brands. It provides many choices in the wireless security systems with a basic security package amounting to $299 with additional $34 as the monitoring fee. At this cost you will get a wireless touch pad, 3 entry point sensors (these are very few and most homes will have to spend extra here), motion detector and wireless key-chain remote. It has excellent customer service and unless you are concerned about the cost which is higher than the others, you are bound to be happy and safe with an ADT security system at home.

Brinks Home security: We can never leave out Brinks Home security when we compare home security systems. It has been in business from 1983 and is still one of the biggest names, though it has lost out in the race a little in the recent times. Brinks doesn’t have a wireless system which means that all the wiring for the security system will have to be physically setup which might leave you with damaged walls. A premium plan comes at $155 and consists of three sensors, one motion detector, control panel, interior siren, yard sign, decals, a keypad and twenty four hours support. Since the quantity of sensors is on the lower side, any home will have to add more by paying extra. Also, for brinks you have to purchase warranty at $6/ month. Unless you do so your equipment malfunctions will not be covered. There are a host of other services too, at an extra cost which can be added in if you want. You are required to set-up an auto pay account with them and money will be deducted automatically every month for at least three years. Though Brinks has decades of legacy behind it but it’s definitely nowhere near the best. For the same price you can get better service from the other home security systems.
